Harry Potter & The Deathly Hallows II Movie Review

Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows – Part 2, is the final adventure in the Harry Potter film series. The much-anticipated motion picture event is the second of two full-length parts. In the epic finale, the battle between the good and evil forces of the wizarding world escalates into an all-out war. The stakes have never been higher and no one is safe. But it is Harry Potter who may be called upon to make the ultimate sacrifice as he draws closer to the climactic showdown with Lord Voldemort. It all ends here. — (C) Warner Bros

I’m not Potter’s biggest fan, but to be honest, I have all the series of Harry Potter both Indonesian and English. JK Rowling is such a good writer, she can make me imagine things with the way she writes. Well, this is my first time I reviewed a movie. I don’t know how, but I just want to try it, sounds exciting. Hehehe.. Ok, here we go.

Well, first thing I want to say is I agree with this statement, “The Harry Potter movies aren’t really movies. They’re the world’s most expensive book illustrations.” by Margot Harrison from Seven Days. I think the books are very good, but the movies, it’s just illustrate the books with super-cool-animations-ever. Overall, the movie quite entertaining though, since I haven’t watch movies for a very long-long-long time because tax problems. And the truth is, it was below my expectations, I hope “more” from this movie. I won’t tell you the story line, or the movie about, but I will review my favorite part and vice versa.

First, I will go with the scene I don’t really like at all. The scene when Harry meets Dumbledore at Kings Cross alike (Harry gets unconcious after duel with Voldemort at forbidden forest), is obviously unimportant and I don’t really understand what does it means. And also, I don’t like the last Harry-Voldemort duel scene. It’s very flat. I was hoping their last duel was like, booommmmm, but its more like, “Errrrr……. really? It’s over? It’s already over? Oh come on……” hahaha..

Second, I’ll tell ya about scenes that I like from this movie. Remember when the teachers built up coat for protecting Hogwarts, when they’re all utter mantras together and constantly. It’s soooooo touching. Hmmm. And, when Minerva says mantra to liven up the Hogwars Rock Guard, and saying “I was waiting for my whole life to say that.” Hahaha.. You’re the coolest teacher ever McGonagall! Oh, forgot to tell ya, when she points out her wand to Snape for protecting Harry, so cool! One of the coolest duel scene in Potter movies.

Enough with Minerva then, and I will go with Ron. He is one of my favorite characters. Because he is soooo funny! What I like the best is when he’s trying to catch Crabbe & Goyle for protecting Hermione, and he says, “She is my girlfriend!”. And his sons with Hermione are very very cute, they’re all red! Nice Ron. Hmm, actually there are still lots to tell, but I’m kinda sleepy to write again, since my grammar is very sucks also, sorry for that.

So this is the conclusion: The sad part is, it all ends here. The Potter’s journey accompany me since I was in elementary school. You can say that Daniel, Rupert, Emma, and I were growing up together, hahaha.. I will miss them for sure. Thank you JK Rowling, for giving me story to tell 🙂
